WPT Australia Championship 2024ames Obst has claimed his first World Poker Tour (WPT) title by winning the WPT Australia Championship, taking home AUD $585,359 (~USD $398,512). Obst triumphed over nearly 400 competitors in a field of 396 players. In addition to his substantial prize, Obst earned a seat at the WPT World Championship in Las Vegas this December. The tournament generated a prize pool of AUD $2.93 million, with the top 50 finishers also gaining points towards the WPT Player of the Year leaderboard. Travis Endersby finished as the runner-up, earning AUD $389,478.
