The tables at ACR Poker are heating up as the double edition of The Venom, the platform’s flagship tournament, reaches its most crucial moments. Today, the champion of the PLO PKO event will be crowned during a live-streamed final table, while the NLH PKO event will battle down to its final nine players.
Record-Breaking Prize Pools at The Venom
Both versions of The Venom have shattered their initial guarantees. The NLH PKO event, which originally guaranteed $5 million in total prizes, attracted 2,646 entries at $2,650 each, creating a massive prize pool of $6.615 million. Payouts are being distributed among the top 331 finishers. The PLO PKO event, initially set with a $1.5 million guarantee, saw 706 entries, amassing a final prize pool of $1.765 million, shared among 71 players.
On Monday, Day 2 of the Pot Limit Omaha event began with 80 players and ended with just seven remaining contenders. Today, they will compete for the title and a top prize of $149,560, not including bounty rewards.
NLH PKO Approaches Final Table
Meanwhile, Day 2 of the Venom No Limit Hold’em PKO started with 366 players and has now been reduced to just 38, all fighting for a spot at the final table. The winner of this event will walk away with $393,837, excluding bounties, which promise to add a substantial amount to the final earnings.
The current chip leader is the grinder Nbd.aZtec, holding 56,226,900 chips and already securing $20,177 in bounties. Among those in contention is Argentina’s Ramiro “sapepepe” Petrone, who sits in 12th place with 21,776,162 chips and $18,437 in bounty earnings.
