German poker player Dennis Weiss has claimed his first-ever World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet after an intense final table at the 2024 WSOP Europe €5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha (PLO) event in Rozvadov. Weiss outlasted previous bracelet winners Julien Martini and Hokyiu Lee, securing his name in poker history by winning a massive prize of $177,280. The event drew 141 entries, with a prize pool of nearly $700,000, and Weiss emerged victorious after an exciting showdown on the Czech-German border.
A Thrilling Final Table
The event’s final table featured fierce competition. Notable players such as Nikola Minkov and Victor Dota fell short, but Weiss managed to stay on top. The action-packed table saw Vakhtang Javakhishvili exit in 8th place, followed by Vazha Kometiani in 7th, each earning impressive payouts.
Weiss was leading when the final eight gathered and faced tough competition from fellow finalists, including Amir Mozaffarian, who finished in 2nd place with $114,300, and Nikola Minkov, who placed 3rd, winning $76,270. Weiss secured victory with a commanding 2:1 chip lead in a heads-up battle, ultimately winning the title with two pairs of tens and aces.

Weiss expressed his joy after the win, stating, “I’m a bracelet winner! I haven’t fully processed it yet, but I’m so happy.
