Oliver WeisGerman poker star Oliver ‘Sk2ll_m0dR’ Weis has claimed his second major title of the year, becoming the 17th German champion in European Poker Tour (EPT) history. The event attracted 1,284 entries—falling just shy of breaking its own attendance record.

A Year of Triumph for Weis

After winning the EPT High Roller in Paris earlier this year for $1,050,978, Weis has added another seven-figure payday to his name. His victory at the EPT Cyprus Main Event earned him $1,030,000, cementing his place among the elite in poker.

Weis faced a tough final table, defeating local favorite Georgios Tsouloftas in a thrilling heads-up battle. Other notable players at the table included former EPT champion Anton Wigg and high-stakes regular Mikhail ‘innerpsy’ Shalamov.

Comeback Victory: Overcoming a 5-to-1 Chip Deficit

Weis’ path to the title wasn’t easy—he had to fight back from a 5-to-1 chip disadvantage during the heads-up against Tsouloftas. Reflecting on his win, Weis said in an interview with Joe Stapleton:

“I knew today wouldn’t be easy. If someone doubled up, things could go south fast. You have to be patient, play your hands, and wait for the right spots.”
