Jackie Glazier, the most successful female poker player in Australia, has filed a lawsuit against the production company behind the popular show Survivor: Australia. The 50-year-old poker professional claims that an injury sustained during the filming of the show’s 12th season in 2023 has caused long-term health complications.

Glazier was injured while performing a physically demanding challenge, where contestants were required to jump onto a rotating platform and fall into a pit filled with muddy water. Unfortunately, Jackie wasn’t the only participant to suffer injuries in the task. According to her attorney, the pool meant to cushion their fall contained only 30 centimeters of water—far less than the 1 meter required to ensure safety.

The impact resulted in multiple injuries for Glazier, including a broken clavicle and torn shoulder ligaments, which later developed into Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS). TOS occurs when nerves or blood vessels in the space between the collarbone and the first rib are compressed, leading to a range of debilitating symptoms such as:

• Swelling and clot formation
• Sensitivity and limited mobility
