WSOPE rings

Poker legend Viktor Blom is making waves in the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) as he competes in the first High Roller event at King’s Resort, Rozvadov, Czech Republic. This prestigious tournament, the €25,000 No-Limit Hold’em GGMillion (Event #8), has drawn a select group of professionals and VIPs vying for a share of the €1 million guaranteed prize pool.

Despite a slow start, with Blom being one of the first notable eliminations after a big hand against Orpen Kisacikoglu, the Swedish online poker icon quickly re-entered the tournament, determined to claim victory.

Competitive Field and Overlay Potential

After 12 intense levels of play, Martin Kabrhel from the Czech Republic leads with a commanding chip stack. With only 14 players remaining, including Samuel Ju from Germany and Jacob Amsellem from France in second and third place, the competition remains fierce. Other notable contenders include Alex Foxen and Kristen Foxen, both fighting to advance.

Interestingly, the tournament currently faces a potential overlay of €385,000, as the prize pool has only reached €615,000. However, this figure may shrink as late registration remains open until the end of Level 14 on Day 2.

Viktor Blom’s Return to Action

Blom, along with his fellow competitors, will resume play at 2 PM local time on Day 2, starting at Level 13 with blinds set at 10,000/20,000/20,000. With Blom sitting in 8th place, holding a stack of 785,000 chips (39 big blinds), fans eagerly await to see if he can rekindle his past glories and make a deep run in this highly anticipated event.
